Sequential Take 5 desktop moduleAs has been posted in the teo-5 forum, the question probably everyone wants to know the answer to is can it be polychained? I have a take-5 and the thought of being able to double the polyphony would be really good.
If you ask me about the genre, I'll say there is none: it's a wide variety of custom patches (150 in total). Some are bread & butter, some offbeat; they're the result of me experimenting with the OB-6 and trying to find its outer limits. The patches are ready-to-use in music or can serve as starting points; you can find the textures or the dynamics that you like and tweak them to suit your ...
Firmware update calibration failure. Now at the mercy of Sequential providing an update to V2.0. I don’t understand why they don’t know the tolerances of the fitted components to develop a firmware that works on all synths.
Who knows? Perhaps Sequential has it in the works right now. I calibrated the voices, and it was ok for for around 20 minutes or so, then it suddenly became totally detuned again, just while changing patches only. It could have worried me but fortunately i already own a Prophet 6 and an OB 6 and am therefore accustomed to the tuning table quirks of Sequential VCO ...
If it’s a specific “saxophone sound” of the P5 (I don’t know what that is, I don’t associate the P5 with saxophone timbre) I would consider Behringer Pro-1 that is a clone of Pro One. Sequential Pro One is a monophonic version Prophet of Prophet 5, not the Prophet 600, and a sax is monophonic. The price tag is even lower than Pro 800.
Is it time for Sequential to push boundaries and explore new innovative features in their synthesizers, such as incorporating AI technology or implementing touch-sensitive surfaces for enhanced expressiveness? How can Sequential stay ahead of the competition and continue to captivate musicians in the ever-evolving world of synthesis?
